Draft, needs review by a lawyer before launch. DRAFT. Not legal advice.

Community rules

Status: working draft, 17 October 2026. These rules are not a substitute for the terms of use or the privacy policy, and they are not legal advice. A lawyer needs to review them before launch.

These rules apply to visitors, artists and bookers on circns.com. Birdfish BV, a company in Belgium, operates the platform and enforces the rules. The registered office is [registered office address]. The enterprise number (KBO/BCE) is [KBO number].

circns.com is not a party to bookings or contracts between bookers and artists. These rules do not make Birdfish BV a party to a booking. They describe how people on the platform are expected to behave, and what we may remove.

1. Separate artist and booker accounts

Use an artist account for an artist profile, and a booker account for booking. One account has one role. If you do both, use two accounts and two email addresses. Do not pretend an account is something it is not.

2. Be truthful

  • Describe the artist, the act and the show accurately.
  • List only credits and references you can stand behind.
  • Confirm the email on the booker account you sign up with. Chats and contracts wait for that confirmation. Shortlists do not. There is no invite code and no administrator queue for a new booker account.
  • Do not impersonate another artist, venue, festival, agent or person.

3. Photos, files, tech riders and links

Upload only text, photos and files you have the rights to use.

A tech rider on a public act or show is public. Anyone can view it and download it. Upload a rider only if you are willing for it to be public.

Website and social links on an artist profile are public on purpose. Add only links you want visitors to see.

A video link may be any http or https address. Do not try to upload video files to the platform. An act can have up to 10 photos.

4. Contact details

Account email addresses, phone numbers and chat relay addresses are not public.

They are shared only when a user taps Share my contact details in a chat. That share is limited to that user's own phone and email, and only to the other person in that conversation.

  • Do not post someone else's phone number or email address.
  • Do not pressure anyone to tap Share my contact details.
  • Do not try to uncover the real address behind a relay address.
  • Do not put private contact details in a public bio, a public photo or a public tech rider.

Chat mail is sent through Resend from a circns.com relay address, and a reply to that email comes back into the chat. Use that path. It exists so you can talk without exchanging personal addresses.

In this version the platform does not scan messages or PDFs to remove contact details. That is not permission to publish them.

5. Chat

Be professional. Harassment, threats, hateful attacks, and sexual content involving anyone under 18 are forbidden.

Do not spam artists or bookers, and do not scrape the platform for addresses.

A block stops messages in both directions. Do not create another account to get around a block.

6. Bookings, signing and money

There are no payments on circns.com in this version. Do not ask Birdfish BV to hold a deposit, take a commission or pay an artist. The fee, if you agree one, is agreed and paid between the booker and the artist, outside the platform.

Contracts are signed by the booker and the artist through DocuSeal, which Birdfish BV hosts itself. Upload only a contract you have the right to use. Birdfish BV does not sign the contract.

7. Report button and removal

Use the Report button on an artist page, an act or show page, or a chat when something breaks these rules or the law. Reports go to Birdfish BV administrators. A report does not hide the page. It stays up until an administrator decides.

You can also email [contact email] with where the content is and why you are reporting it.

We may remove a profile, an act, a show, a message or a file, and we may suspend or close an account. We may do that after a report or on our own initiative, including where the law requires us to act. We may tell the person who posted the content, unless that would harm the reporter or an investigation.

Do not send reports you know are false, and do not use the Report button to harass someone.

8. What happens if you break the rules

We may warn you, remove the content, or suspend or close the account. Serious or repeated breaches are more likely to end in suspension. Where something appears illegal, we may keep the information a competent authority needs and pass it on when the law requires it.

9. Questions
